The new Latch 5 Pro lever lock is now in stock on ULTRALOQ’s own store, while the Bolt Pro deadbolt has opened for pre-orders with shipping expected the week of October 25, 2026. Both locks are Aliro Certified, run Matter over Thread, and are built for tap-to-unlock with a phone or digital wallet instead of relying only on keys and apps. Together with the existing ultra-wideband Bolt Mission model, they form a three-lock lineup aimed at giving US households multiple ways to go keyless at the front, side, and garage-entry doors.
Latch 5 Pro: New lever lock that works with Samsung Wallet
The ULTRALOQ Latch 5 Pro is the main new model that you can actually get delivered now. It is a lever-handle lock, not a deadbolt, and is meant for doors like side entrances, home offices, garage-entry doors, rentals, and shared spaces. On ULTRALOQ’s own store, it is listed as in stock and ships in one to three business days in the US.
Latch 5 Pro is Aliro Certified and runs Matter over Thread, so it ties into modern smart home systems while leaning on a low-power mesh network. On the everyday use side, it lets you open the door by tapping a supported digital wallet, using a fingerprint, entering a PIN code, or using a mechanical key. It holds up to 50 PIN codes and up to 50 users, which fits situations like families, roommates, or rotating guests in a rental.
The lock runs on six AA batteries. ULTRALOQ says you get about a year of life on alkaline cells and about a year and a half if you use lithium cells. The outside half of the lock is weather-resistant for exposure to the elements, while the inside half is for indoor use. Installation is done by hand with no wiring needed, and ULTRALOQ sells it in two finishes: Matte Black and Satin Nickel.
Aliro brings tap-to-unlock from payments to the front door
Aliro is the access standard that ties these new locks to the same basic motion people already use at checkout or at a gas pump. It is an open standard for phone-based door access from the Connectivity Standards Alliance, the same group responsible for Matter. The big three mobile players back it: Apple, Google, and Samsung.
The idea is simple: the tap-to-pay habit people already use with phones and watches now extends to the front door and other access points. Instead of relying on a single brand or app, a lock built to this standard is not locked to one phone maker. Raj Sundar, Senior Director of Product Management for ULTRALOQ, put it this way: “The front door is moving away from keys and apps toward digital credentials and intent-aware access.”
Both Latch 5 Pro and Bolt Pro are Aliro Certified. That means they are designed around this standard so a tap from a supported digital wallet can act like a secure key. ULTRALOQ lists Apple Wallet and Google Wallet as coming soon for Latch 5 Pro, so which phones can tap to unlock depends on the wallet you carry today.
Which lock to pick, and what you need for phone and wallet access
Choosing between Latch 5 Pro and Bolt Pro mainly comes down to what kind of door you have. Latch 5 Pro is a lever-handle lock built for doors that use a latch, such as side entrances, interior garage doors, home offices, rentals, or shared spaces. ULTRALOQ Bolt Pro is a deadbolt for a standard front door or any exterior door that already uses a deadbolt.
On Latch 5 Pro, the tap-to-unlock option uses a supported digital wallet. Right now, Samsung Wallet is the digital key that works today, and each person in a household can carry their own digital key in Samsung Wallet for the same lock. ULTRALOQ’s product details describe Apple Wallet and Google Wallet as “coming soon” for Latch 5 Pro, not live features yet, so you should not expect to walk up and tap an iPhone or Google Wallet to open this particular lock today. Beyond wallet support, you can also unlock Latch 5 Pro with fingerprints, PIN codes, or a mechanical key.
Bolt Pro widens the access choices once it ships. It is Aliro Certified, runs Matter over Thread, and includes Bluetooth and Wi-Fi with no separate hub required. You can open it by tapping a compatible device, with a fingerprint, with a PIN, through the Xthings Home app, with an RFID key fob, or with a physical key. It also supports Apple Home Key and works with NFC-enabled Android phones, so people tapping in with phones from different brands have options at the front door.
All three locks in the lineup, including the existing ultra-wideband Bolt Mission model, are Matter Certified and work with Apple Home and Google Home. That means you can bring them into Apple Home or Google Home and use them in automations there. Latch 5 Pro and Bolt Pro also work with Samsung SmartThings. With SmartThings in the mix, unlocking the door can trigger a routine such as turning on lights or changing the thermostat when you arrive.

The existing Bolt Mission, which uses ultra-wideband for hands-free unlocking as you walk up, rounds out the collection for people who prefer that style of access. That model is not new: ULTRALOQ’s product page traces its debut back to CES 2025, and it already has dozens of customer reviews. It still sits next to Latch 5 Pro and Bolt Pro as the ultra-wideband choice in the lineup.
