iRobot Corp. has announced a new lineup of Roomba vacuums and 2-in-1 vacuum-mop combinations, introducing advanced features such as debris-compacting systems and dual-spinning mop pads designed to clean stubborn messes. This new range of robots represents the most extensive offering in the company’s 35-year history, featuring an updated design, enhanced technology, and an improved Roomba Home app. The company’s CEO, Gary Cohen, indicated that these products are a result of their reinvigorated research and development efforts.

The 2025 lineup includes several models designed to cater to various cleaning needs. The Roomba 105 Vac Robot series offers 70 times more power-lifting suction compared to previous models. The Roomba 205 DustCompactor Vac Robot and its Combo version include a DustCompactor system that stores debris for extended periods. The Roomba Plus 405 Combo Robot, paired with an AutoWash Dock, provides powerful suction and deep scrubbing capabilities. The Roomba Plus 505 Combo Robot, also with an AutoWash Dock, features PerfectEdge Technology for thorough corner cleaning and a multifunction dock that manages debris and maintains mop pads.

These robots are equipped with increased suction power, enhanced navigation, and rapid mapping abilities through ClearView Lidar Navigation. Select models come with PrecisionVision AI Technology for improved performance. Other features include automatic carpet detection and avoidance, as well as object sensing and avoidance. A new customer-focused naming system has been introduced to clarify the product portfolio, aimed at simplifying customer choices according to cleaning preferences.

The design of the new Roomba robots incorporates modern colors and finishes, intended to blend seamlessly with home aesthetics. Insun Hong, Director of Industrial Design at iRobot, stated that the appearance of these products is intended to be warm and approachable. Additionally, iRobot plans to launch a marketing campaign tagged “Roomba. Made for This,” which will be featured across various media platforms. The new packaging design prominently displays the primary capabilities of each model to enhance consumer awareness at retail locations.

The new Roomba models will be available for pre-order in North America and select European markets starting March 18, 2025, with retail availability beginning March 23, 2025. For more details, visit the iRobot’s website here.
