Roomba released two new combination mop / vacuum today. These devices are designed for both traditional vacuuming, and performing combo vacuum / mop duties with the switch of a bin.

I love my Roomba – it’s great for picking up pet hair, crumbs in the kitchen, and just overall keeping things cleaner especially on hard floors and tile. However, there’s nothing as disappointing as a freshly vacuumed kitchen floor with spots on it from spills. Enter Roomba’s new combo machines.

The Roomba j5+ and i5+ are combo vacuum / mop devices just like the Roomba Combo j7+. This means they can perform all of the traditional vacuum duties that a Roomba is known for. With the switch of a bin and addition of some cleaner fluid they can also go to a combo vacuum / mop mode that will both vacuum your floors and mop them clean. No more spill spots left behind in the kitchen.

The Roomba Combo j5+ has all of the smarts Roomba devices are known for; the P.O.O.P. promise, object recognition, boundary zones and no mop zones, and recognizes over 600 voice commands through voice assistants.

The Roomba Combo i5+ is perfect for smaller homes with mostly hard floors. It integrates nicely with most voice assistants, has Dirt Detect features to thoroughly clean dirtier spots, and has smart mapping to better learn your home layout to clean more efficiently.

Both devices are available now on Roomba’s website here.
