Reolink is adding several new products to its lineup, led by the OMVI 2i Ultra dual-lens security camera and the Home Hub 2 local video hub. Both were announced on September 4, 2026 at IFA 2026 in Berlin, along with new ReoNeura AI features that are built around private, on-device video search and upcoming custom alerts. Together, the camera and hub are aimed at people who want smarter security without monthly cloud fees.
OMVI 2i Ultra: Dual-lens security with solar and long battery life
The OMVI 2i Ultra is built as a two-in-one camera that watches in two directions at once. It combines an 8‑megapixel wide-view lens with a separate 5‑megapixel pan‑tilt lens that can move 355 degrees horizontally and 50 degrees vertically. When the system spots motion, the pan‑tilt camera can automatically track the person, vehicle, or object in a second direction while the main wide lens keeps recording the overall scene.
Power and placement are a big part of the design. The camera comes with a detachable 10,000mAh battery that Reolink rates for up to six months per charge, depending on use and settings. A built-in 6‑watt solar panel is included to keep the battery topped up, which can reduce or remove the need to take the camera down for charging in many setups. That combination targets spots where running power cables is hard, like sheds, fence lines, or high exterior walls.
The OMVI 2i Ultra sits in Reolink’s OMVI series, which focuses on wide coverage from a single mounting point. With one fixed 8MP view and one movable 5MP lens on the same bracket, users can cover a driveway and a front door, or a yard and a side gate, with one device instead of two separate cameras. Reolink plans to make the OMVI 2i Ultra available in late October 2026.
Home Hub 2: Local storage and AI search without subscriptions
Home Hub 2 is a new local hub built to pull video from multiple Reolink cameras into one place without ongoing subscription costs. It can manage footage from up to eight Reolink cameras and supports up to 16TB of external storage. That amount of space is meant for people who want weeks or months of recorded history available at home instead of in the cloud.
The hub is built around a feature called ReoNeura Local AI Video Search. Rather than scrolling through long timelines or scrubbing video by hand, users can search for clips using natural-language descriptions such as “person at the back door at night” or “white car in driveway.” All of this runs on the hub itself, not on cloud servers, so the searches and stored footage stay inside the home network.
Home Hub 2 also gives Reolink owners a central spot to manage, review, and organize footage from different cameras. The idea is that indoor, outdoor, battery-powered, and wired cameras all feed into the same box, making it easier to find and review events across the whole property. Reolink says Home Hub 2 is scheduled for release in fall 2026.
ReoNeura AI: Natural-language search and upcoming custom detection
ReoNeura is Reolink’s AI engine that powers the new search and detection features tied to Home Hub 2 and selected cameras. The Local AI Video Search on the hub is designed to understand simple, plain-English requests about what happened and when, rather than forcing users to remember exact times or camera names. This kind of search can help with day-to-day checks, like seeing when a package arrived, and with looking back over longer periods after an incident.
Reolink also previewed an upcoming feature called ReoNeura Custom AI Detection. This is planned to let users train the system to recognize their own situations and triggers, not just generic categories like “person” or “vehicle.” Reolink’s own example is spotting when a side gate is left open, with the system sending an alert whenever that happens.
According to Reolink, full support for ReoNeura Custom AI Detection is planned to reach Home Hub 2 through a firmware update in December 2026 at the earliest. After that, the company expects the feature to roll out to selected standalone cameras.
Smart home support and privacy-focused setup
Reolink is positioning the new camera and hub as options for people who want smart features without giving up control of their footage. Home Hub 2 is designed as a local device, so storage, search, and management sit inside the home instead of on a remote cloud account. That can appeal to users who are cautious about sending security video to third-party servers and who would rather keep their data on a drive they own.
The OMVI 2i Ultra and Home Hub 2 fit into Reolink’s existing smart home ecosystem. The company says its devices can tie into major platforms such as Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Home Assistant, Homey, and IFTTT, so users can fold the new products into routines and voice control setups they already use. Between the dual-lens hardware, long-life battery and solar combo, local hub storage, and AI search and detection tools, Reolink is trying to give homeowners more flexible ways to watch their property without adding another monthly bill.
