LG Electronics has announced a partnership with artist Steven Harrington for an exhibition at Frieze New York 2025. The event, called “Steven Harrington X LG OLED: Stop to Smell the Flowers,” will show Harrington’s pop art on LG’s latest OLED TVs. The company is focusing on the new transparent LG SIGNATURE OLED T, which is used to display Harrington’s colorful digital works. This exhibition runs from May 7 to 11 at The Shed in New York City.

Steven Harrington is known for his psychedelic pop style and for designing the LA 2028 Olympics logo. For this event, he picked LG OLED TVs as the medium for his art because of their strong color accuracy and the ability to show deep blacks. According to Harrington, these qualities help show his work as he intended. The show’s main feature is Mello, a character created by Harrington, that is animated on the transparent OLED display. Visitors can interact with the character by stepping behind the screen for a photo, which is made possible by the display’s ability to switch from opaque to transparent.

In addition to the transparent OLED T, the exhibition includes the new LG OLED evo M5 and G5 models, as well as the portable LG StanbyME 2. The M5 TV shows off wireless features, which make for a cleaner setup. The G5 uses self-lit pixels to give strong contrast levels. StanbyME 2 is shown as a flexible portable TV that can be used in different ways, such as wall-mounted or on a stand. All these TVs display Harrington’s art in ways that fit their features and highlight what they can do.

LG’s vice president of experiential marketing, Kate Oh, stated that the brand wants to work with artists who bring new ideas to digital art. She said the partnership with Harrington fits LG OLED’s aim to inspire people and connect them through digital experiences. LG has also announced that after Frieze, the SIGNATURE OLED T will be shown at the Kartell flagship store in New York as part of a partnership with the Italian design brand Kartell. LG will also work with digital artist Ayoung Kim for an exhibition at the Guggenheim Museum. The company says its OLED panels are certified for “Perfect Black” and “Perfect Color” by third-party testers.
