Levoit Launches Eleva Smart Air Purifiers With a Fully Sealed HEPA Design

Levoit is rolling out a new Eleva smart air purifier line built around a fully sealed HEPA system meant to keep trapped allergens from leaking back into the room. The Eleva 500X is aimed at large, open spaces, while the smaller Eleva 300X targets bedrooms and small to medium rooms. Both models use a sealed design Levoit calls MaxSeal Technology, paired with HEPA filtration that is rated to capture 99.97% of particles down to 0.3 microns based on the latest IEST Type A standard. The company is pitching the series as an option for people who want whole-room allergen defense, especially during pollen seasons or in homes with pets.

Fully Sealed HEPA Design Focused On What Reaches The Room

The core idea behind the Eleva series is that the entire air path is sealed, not just the filter. Levoit says every Eleva purifier is built as a fully sealed system using MaxSeal Technology, which is meant to route all intake air through the HEPA filter. The design is intended to cut down on air slipping through internal gaps around the filter and then being pushed straight back into the room.

According to the company, the HEPA filters in the Eleva line carry a 99.97% rating for particles as small as 0.3 microns, under IEST-RP-CC001.7 Type A, the latest version of that classification, with testing to the ASTM F3150-18 standard by an independent third-party lab. Because of the sealed structure, Levoit stresses that this performance level is meant to reflect the air that actually exits the machine, not just what passes through the media in a lab test. That detail is especially important for people trying to reduce exposure to allergens like pollen, dust, pet dander and smoke particles throughout their living space.

Eleva 500X For Large, Open Rooms

At the top of the new line is the Eleva 500X, which is designed for large, open rooms. It adds multi-channel sensors that read PM1.0, PM2.5 and PM10 particles along with volatile organic compounds and nitrogen dioxide, so Auto Mode can react to gas pollutants as well as particles. It carries an AHAM Verifide clean air delivery rate of 301 CFM for smoke and, according to Levoit, cleans a 467-square-foot room in 12.5 minutes, which makes it a fit for living rooms, open-plan family rooms and similar areas.

The Eleva 500X is a smart model, which means it works with Levoit’s VeSync app for schedules and air-quality tracking, plus voice control through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. With the sealed HEPA design and sensor-driven detection, the 500X is framed as an option for homes where multiple sources of pollutants may be present, like gas stoves, wood fireplaces, cleaning products and paint. By combining sealed filtration and monitoring, the device is aimed at people who want more consistent whole-room coverage rather than spot cleaning in a corner.

Eleva 300X For Bedrooms And Smaller Spaces

The Eleva 300X brings the same sealed HEPA structure to smaller rooms such as bedrooms and small to medium-sized spaces. Levoit positions it as the more compact of the two launch models, rated to clean a 250-square-foot room in 12.5 minutes and running as quietly as 20 dB overnight, for people who need allergen control where they sleep or in other small to medium rooms. Like the 500X, it is described as a smart purifier, so it uses the same VeSync app and Alexa and Google Assistant voice control.

Because bedrooms are where people spend many continuous hours, leak paths inside an air purifier can matter more to those who are sensitive to allergens or smoke. By carrying over the full MaxSeal system from the 500X, the 300X is meant to provide the same sealed HEPA performance but scaled to smaller rooms. That design focus is especially relevant for users dealing with seasonal allergies, pet dander or smoke particles.

Designed Around Real-World Allergen Defense

Levoit points out that having a high-performing HEPA filter is only part of what determines how clean the air in a room actually becomes. David Yoon, Director of the Product Commercialization Team at Levoit, says, “The Eleva series was designed so that the sealed system, not just the filter, accounts for what reaches the room.” That approach shifts attention from raw filter specs to how the purifier handles air throughout its entire internal pathway.

By treating leakage control as a core design feature, the Eleva line is aimed at allergy sufferers who want the filter rating to describe the air that actually comes back into the room. The emphasis on the latest IEST Type A classification signals an effort to tie the claimed 99.97% rating to a recognized standard and to the air the purifier actually delivers back into the room. For many buyers, that kind of detail may matter more than marketing terms, especially when they are comparing products for long-term use.

A New Line From A Major U.S. Air Purifier Brand

Levoit describes itself as the No. 1 air purifier brand in the U.S., citing Circana U.S. retail unit-share data for 2022 through 2025. The Eleva series adds a new option to its existing range by centering on sealed HEPA systems and smart controls. With two sizes at launch, the lineup is structured so users can pick a model that fits both their room size and their sensitivity to everyday indoor allergens and pollutants.

For households trying to cut down on pollen, dust, pet dander and smoke particles indoors, the Eleva 500X and 300X are pitched as sealed, smart purifiers that pay attention to how air moves, not just what sits inside the filter frame. Both models are Energy Star 3.0 certified, can switch their display lights off completely at any fan speed, and are sold through Levoit.com and Amazon.
