Segway Navimow has announced that its robotic lawn mowers are now available for purchase on Lowe’s online stores. The lineup includes both the H Series and the i Series, giving homeowners new choices for automated lawn care. These products focus on using advanced navigation and mapping technologies to take over typical lawn mowing chores, aiming to make yard work less hands-on for users.
The Segway Navimow mowers operate without the need for perimeter wires, which have been a common requirement for robotic mowers in the past. Instead, they use RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) technology for GPS signals that are accurate down to the centimeter. This level of precision, combined with visual navigation and artificial intelligence, allows the mower to map out and adapt to the layout of a yard. The mowers can learn the best paths to cut grass and adjust as the outdoor area changes over time. These systems also help the mower avoid obstacles and handle various slopes and terrains.
There are several models available to fit different yard sizes and user needs. The i Series is designed for lawns up to one quarter of an acre. It features a compact design and offers app control, obstacle avoidance, and mapping tools. This model is suitable for smaller yards and those who want a straightforward setup. The H Series is aimed at larger properties and can handle up to nearly three-quarters of an acre. This model is built to manage more challenging areas, including yards with slopes up to 27 degrees. Both series are wire-free and use Segway’s Exact Fusion Locating System for accurate movement.
In addition to core mowing functions, Segway Navimow models include smart software features. Users can review mowing reports, connect the device to smart home systems, and use weather-adaptive tools. These features allow for more flexibility and control through a phone or tablet. The mowers run quietly and do not use gas, lowering noise and emissions compared to traditional equipment.
Segway, the company behind Navimow, has been involved in developing robotic and short-distance transportation tools since its founding in 1999. With the launch of Navimow in 2021, Segway entered the lawn care market, applying its technology background to this new area. Today, its products are used in over 30 countries, including the United States, Germany, France, and Australia.
