TCL and Dolby Laboratories have announced that TCL’s 2025 QD-Mini LED TVs will include support for Dolby Atmos FlexConnect. This feature will be available in TCL’s Precise Dimming Series, which includes the QM8K, QM7K, and QM6K models. This is a shift in how users can set up their home audio systems with TCL’s new televisions.

Dolby Atmos FlexConnect is designed to allow people to place speakers anywhere in a room without worrying about traditional set-ups or complicated wiring. The TV will automatically adjust the sound to match the arrangement of the speakers and the shape of the room. This means users do not need to follow strict rules about where to put their speakers, making it easier to fit sound systems into different living spaces. Each seat in the room should receive balanced sound, so viewers do not have to sit in a specific spot to get the best audio experience.

TCL’s QD-Mini LED TVs are known for their picture clarity and color range, and the addition of FlexConnect aims to match these visuals with more flexible audio. By working with Dolby, TCL is looking to bring a home theater sound feel to a wider group of people. The company says that the new FlexConnect feature will also connect with an upcoming wireless speaker, but there are not many details on that speaker yet. TCL has a history of including new picture and sound technology in its higher-end TVs, and this is another step in that direction.

Dolby Laboratories is known for working with partners to put Dolby Atmos sound in different products, from soundbars to phones. For TCL, teaming up with Dolby means they can offer a familiar audio name to buyers who are looking for both convenience and sound quality in their TV purchase. The QM8K, QM7K, and QM6K models will be the first in TCL’s line to have this feature, and it is likely that more TCL TVs will add it in the future.

This move is part of a larger trend where TV makers are trying to make home audio easier for people who do not want to run wires or make changes to their living rooms. The sound system can adjust itself, so people do not have to worry about missing out on surround sound if they have an odd-shaped room or unusual furniture. TCL and Dolby are hoping that this will interest buyers who want good sound with as little work as possible. More details about pricing and release dates for the TVs and the new wireless speakers are expected later.
