Aqara has announced a set of new smart home products and updates that will be on display at IFA 2025 in Berlin. The company is focusing on security, energy savings, and easier control through new sensors, artificial intelligence features, and expanded compatibility with other devices. Aqara says it wants its technology to help homes and buildings respond to what users need, with less direct input from people.

One of the main new products is the Doorbell Camera G400 (Wired). This camera is built for continuous use at the front door. It has a 2K sensor and can show a full body view of people at the door. The camera works with both Power over Ethernet and low voltage power, and it is weather resistant with an IP65 rating. It supports detection for faces, packages, vehicles, and animals through AI in the cloud, as well as motion and person detection on the device itself. It is compatible with Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings, and Home Assistant. Video can be stored locally or in the cloud.

Aqara is also showing two new security products as prototypes. The Camera G510 is the company’s first outdoor camera that runs on batteries. It has a solar panel and a large battery, 2.5K video resolution, color night vision, and on-device AI for recognizing people, vehicles, and packages. The Home Station M410 is a hub for security devices. It can store video recordings to a hard drive, SSD, or microSD card and helps cameras work over longer distances and save battery. It also connects to Matter devices from other companies.

In terms of energy management, Aqara is releasing the Radiator Thermostat W600. This device supports both Thread and Zigbee wireless connections. It can be set up with schedules, automations, or direct controls from apps or virtual assistants. The W600 works with several types of radiator valves and has a longer battery life than the previous model, lasting up to two years. Aqara is also updating its H2 series of wall outlets and smart plugs for the EU and UK, including outlets with USB-C charging and an outdoor plug that is safe for wet conditions. These devices can track power use and trigger automations based on consumption.

Aqara is introducing the Hub M200, which acts as a Matter controller and connects to many types of smart devices using different wireless standards. The M200 can link Aqara’s Zigbee devices to Matter, work as a Thread Border Router, and control infrared devices like older TVs or air conditioners. The hub supports Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Bluetooth, and infrared, and can bring together over 50 types of Matter-enabled devices into one system.

The company is also updating its Aqara Home platform and HomeGuardian cloud service. Aqara Home will soon include a “Soft Sensor” feature, which lets users combine data from different sensors to better detect if a room is occupied. The automation system is getting an update with WHEN-IF-THEN logic, making it easier to set up actions that depend on several factors. There is also a new option for controlling devices locally on the network, even if the internet is down, which should make the app faster and more reliable. The HomeGuardian service will use cloud AI to help all Aqara cameras recognize faces, packages, animals, vehicles, and even fire. It can create video summaries and lets users search for clips using natural language. Notifications will now include images, so users can see what is happening without opening the app.

Aqara will present these products and updates at IFA 2025, where visitors can see live demonstrations and get more details about the new features. The new lineup is designed to work with many different platforms and devices, giving users more flexibility in how they set up and manage their smart environments.
