U-tec, a company specializing in smart home solutions, has announced upcoming additions to its ULTRALOQ lock series. These new products include the Bolt Fingerprint Matter and the Bolt NFC. The Bolt Fingerprint Matter is touted as the world’s first smart fingerprint deadbolt lock to support Matter-Over-Thread technology. This technology enables the lock to integrate with a variety of smart home devices for a comprehensive smart home experience. The Bolt Fingerprint Matter offers six methods of unlocking including fingerprint recognition, passcodes, mobile app access, and traditional keys. It is designed to work with smart home systems such as Google Home, Samsung SmartThings, Apple Home, and Amazon Alexa. The lock is powered by 8 AA batteries, which can last up to a year, and is expected to be available in the third quarter of 2024.

The Bolt NFC, another addition to the series, is designed to support Apple Home Key with integrated WiFi and NFC technology. This lock allows users to unlock their doors with a simple tap of an iPhone or Apple Watch, even if the phone’s battery is depleted, within a five-hour window. Like the Bolt Fingerprint Matter, it also has an extended battery life of up to one year provided by 8 AA batteries and is slated for release in the third quarter of 2024.

Clark Ruan, vice president of U-tec, highlighted the advanced fingerprint technology, Bluetooth connectivity, Matter platform support, and sleek design of the ULTRALOQ smart locks. Ruan emphasized the compatibility of these locks with various smart home platforms, ensuring secure connectivity and reliable performance.

In addition to smart locks, U-tec’s U home ecosystem allows users to control and synchronize multiple smart home devices, including security cameras, bulbs, switches, and plugs, from a central command center. The U home system supports voice control through compatibility with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and SmartThings.
