Samsung has announced the launch of Vision AI Companion at IFA 2025, marking a new chapter for AI-powered displays in its TV and monitor lineup. This new feature brings together the most advanced Samsung artificial intelligence tools, aiming to make interactions with TVs and monitors more natural and helpful. The company is focusing on making its devices more central in homes by combining better personalization, multi-device support, and smarter content recommendations.

The new feature includes a range of AI-driven tools that have been part of Samsung’s recent displays, now brought together into a single system. Live Translate offers real-time translation for conversations and on-screen dialogue, making it easier for people to watch content in other languages or chat with people who speak different languages. Generative Wallpaper creates dynamic visuals based on user preferences. AI Picture, Active Voice Amplifier Pro, and AI Upscaling Pro work in the background to adjust picture and sound automatically, giving the best viewing experience possible for different types of content. AI Gaming Mode improves gameplay by adjusting settings for quicker response times and better visuals.

Vision AI Companion comes with an improved version of the Bixby voice assistant. This version is designed to understand natural, conversational language, so users do not have to rely on specific commands or menus. By pressing the AI button on the remote control, users can ask about anything on the screen, such as details about a movie, the name of an artist, or suggestions for travel destinations. The AI responds with answers that include related images and videos, making the information easier to understand and more complete. Users can also ask follow-up questions, and the AI will remember the context for more fluid back-and-forth conversations.

Vision AI Companion also adds productivity features through integration with apps like Copilot by Microsoft and Perplexity. These apps allow users to manage tasks and get information directly on their TV without needing to switch to a different device. By bringing all these functions together, Samsung aims to make the TV a central point for entertainment, work, and daily life. Users will no longer need to jump between different menus or apps since everything is accessible through the main screen.

Samsung first introduced the idea of Vision AI at CES 2025, where it talked about using artificial intelligence to improve the experience across TVs, monitors, and other displays. Vision AI is designed to boost picture and sound quality, help Samsung devices work better together, and deliver content that matches each user’s interests. The company is also offering seven years of free software upgrades for supported models through the One UI Tizen platform, which covers both new features and security updates through Samsung Knox.

The Vision AI Companion will be available as a software update starting in late September. The rollout will begin in Korea, North America, and some European countries, with more regions to follow. People interested in learning more can visit the Samsung website for further details.
