Stellantis has announced a new lineup of connected services for its United States customers, with a focus on making things simpler and more affordable. Starting with model year 2025 vehicles, Stellantis will offer three main packages called Connect, Connect Plus, and Connect Premium. Each package comes with its own set of features for drivers and is meant to be easy to understand and use.
The most basic package, called Connect, will be included at no extra cost for new vehicle buyers and lasts up to 10 years. It covers important things like emergency calling, automatic crash notifications, remote software updates, and basic app functions such as remote door lock and unlock. This means drivers get peace of mind and some handy features without having to pay extra each month.
Connect Plus is a paid package that adds more features. It includes things like a vehicle health report, stolen vehicle assistance, and more in-depth remote controls. This level also lets drivers use a mobile app to check on their vehicle’s status, plan service visits, and get driving tips. People who want these extras can subscribe for a monthly or yearly fee. Stellantis says this option is for those who want a little more control and information about their vehicle.
The highest package, Connect Premium, includes everything from the first two levels and adds even more. This includes in-car Wi-Fi with a data plan, live traffic updates for navigation, and the ability to use streaming music and video apps through the vehicle’s built-in system. This level is aimed at people who want to stay connected and entertained while driving. The Premium package is also available for a subscription fee.
Stellantis says these new packages will be easy to add at the time of purchase or later through the mobile app or website. The company is trying to make it less confusing by having clear choices and not too many different options. There are also some special deals for people who buy or lease a new vehicle, such as a free trial period of the Connect Plus and Connect Premium packages.
The company says that by offering clear, simple packages, it wants to make connected services more useful for more people. Stellantis is planning to bring these new packages to all of its brands in the United States, including Jeep, Ram, Dodge, Chrysler, and Fiat. The change will start with 2025 models and will be rolled out to more vehicles over time.
