LG Electronics is launching its 2025 QNED evo lineup, aiming to strengthen its place in the premium LCD TV market. The new QNED evo models use features from LG OLED TVs, such as color technology, Mini LED backlighting, and the latest Alpha AI processor. These TVs are certified by Intertek for 100 percent color volume, which means they can show accurate colors in both bright and dark spaces. LG’s Dynamic QNED Color solution, which is different from quantum dot technology, helps the TVs show deep and clear images no matter the lighting in the room.

The Mini LED technology in these models, powered by the new AI processor, gives more control over light and improves contrast. This helps the TVs show darker blacks and brighter highlights with balanced picture quality. With advanced AI, each area of the screen is controlled to boost picture performance. LG’s AI Picture Pro works to adjust details, depth, and colors in each scene. The AI Object Enhancer makes faces, bodies, and other main parts of the picture clearer. Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro breaks each scene into smaller sections and adjusts brightness and contrast, making the visuals more lifelike. The AI Sound Pro adds virtual 9.1.2 surround sound, using the TV’s speakers to create a richer audio experience.

Personalization is a focus for these TVs. The AI Picture/Sound Wizard looks at over a billion image settings and millions of sound profiles to suggest audio and video modes for each user. The new AI Magic Remote has a special button for voice commands and a pointer function for easier navigation. The TV can recognize individual voices to switch profiles and suggest content. The LG AI Concierge looks at viewing history to recommend new shows and keywords. AI Search, using a Large Language Model, understands what users are looking for, making searches more natural. Microsoft Copilot is built in to help users find and organize information, and the AI Chatbot can answer questions and help solve problems.

The TVs work with LG’s webOS 25 smart TV platform, powered by the Alpha AI processor. This platform brings more options for personalization and convenience, and LG promises updates for five years after purchase. The QNED evo models also act as smart home hubs, connecting with LG ThinQ and Google Home to control different smart devices. Support for Apple AirPlay and Google Cast lets users share content from their phones or tablets to the TV.

Gaming is another area where these TVs stand out. The QNED evo models support 4K resolution at 144Hz with AMD FreeSync Premium, which means games look smooth and sharp. The LG Gaming Portal gives players an easy way to find and play games. The TVs work with cloud gaming services and have many games available through webOS apps, so users do not need extra consoles or downloads.

A main feature of the new lineup is the QNED9M, LG’s first QNED TV that can send audio and video wirelessly using True Wireless technology. By connecting to the Zero Connect Box, users can watch 4K content with no lag or loss in quality. This also removes the need for extra boxes and cables around the TV, keeping things neat. The 2025 QNED evo models come in different sizes, from 50 inches up to 100 inches, offering options for different room sizes and preferences. They will be released in May in Korea, the United States, and Europe, with more countries to follow.
