LG Electronics and Ubisoft have announced that Just Dance Now, a popular music-based dance game, will soon be available on LG Smart TVs. This new version of the game is set to launch starting in December 2025 through the LG Gaming Portal, first in North America and Europe. The official trailer will premiere at Paris Games Week 2025. With this release, LG Smart TV owners will be able to play Just Dance Now without needing a gaming console.
Just Dance Now has a large following, with more than 135 million players worldwide. The game features hundreds of songs and a wide variety of choreographed dance routines. LG Smart TVs that run webOS 22 or newer will have direct access to the game. This means that users can start playing right from their television, using the LG Magic Remote as a motion-sensing controller. The remote is designed to track players’ movements and show them on screen, which creates an interactive way to play in the living room.
To mark the launch of Just Dance Now on LG Smart TVs, there will be an exclusive map for the song Money Pull Up, which has become popular online with many streams worldwide. For a limited time, LG Smart TV users can play Just Dance Now for free each day. If users want more time or access to more songs, they can buy a subscription or song packs. The setup is simple, using only the TV and Magic Remote, so there is no need to buy extra controllers or consoles.
Ubisoft says that this partnership with LG will help bring Just Dance Now to more people, making it easier for families and friends to dance together at home. LG also says it is working to expand the LG Gaming Portal by adding more games and features. The goal is to make the portal a central spot for gaming on LG Smart TVs.
Before the official launch, there will be a beta version of the Just Dance Now app in select places, including France. During this test period, users will be able to try three songs on the first day and one song each day after that for two weeks. This lets people try out the game on their TVs and get familiar with the controls before the full release. The partnership gives LG Smart TV users a new way to enjoy games and music together, right from their living rooms.
