LG Electronics brought a large kinetic installation to APEC 2025 in Gyeongju, South Korea. The company set up a chandelier using 28 transparent 77-inch LG SIGNATURE OLED T TVs. Delegates and leaders from the Asia-Pacific area saw this display during the summit. LG first showed this OLED chandelier at CES 2025. It uses the company’s transparent and true wireless OLED TV technology, which is known for clear images, deep blacks, and thin screens. The chandelier moves like a kinetic sculpture, with each panel opening and closing. The screens can change from see-through to solid, and the display includes scenes like space, clouds, underwater settings, and patterns that look like stained glass.
The chandelier is powered by LG’s True Wireless technology, which means there are no visible cables. It can send 4K video with no lag. This helps blend the display with the space around it. The company says this installation is an example of how OLED screens can work in new ways outside of regular TVs. The LG SIGNATURE OLED T has also won a number of design awards. These include Red Dot, iF, and IDEA Awards. At IFA 2025, it was picked as Best of IFA and Best in Home Entertainment. These honors show that the product has been noticed by groups that focus on design and consumer technology.
LG says the OLED T is meant to fit into different spaces without standing out or taking up too much room. The company wants to show that displays can be both part of the decor and also used for media or information. The chandelier at APEC 2025 is part of this idea. It is not just a TV but also an art piece and a way to add visuals to large events.
APEC 2025 had leaders from 21 countries and regions in the Asia-Pacific area. The goal was to talk about economic growth and other topics. LG’s installation at the summit was one way the company tried to show its commitment to new display ideas. The company hopes these kinds of displays will be used more in homes and public spaces in the future. The focus is on making screens that do not need wires, can be moved or shaped, and fit into many kinds of settings. The chandelier is a sample of what LG wants to do with OLED technology as it looks to the future.
