Dreame Technology has brought two new robotic vacuums to the Indian market, the Dreame L40 Ultra AE and the Dreame D20 Ultra. Both models are designed for home use and focus on strong suction, smart mapping, and obstacle avoidance. These launches add to Dreame’s range of smart cleaning tools already sold in the country.

The L40 Ultra AE is the higher priced model and is built as an all-in-one floor cleaner. It combines vacuuming and mopping, with a base station that can handle several tasks on its own. The dock can wash the mop pads with hot water, dry them with warm air, refill the robot’s clean water tank, and empty the dustbin into a larger bag in the station. This setup is meant to cut down on how often a user has to touch the machine. The L40 Ultra AE is also made to handle different floor types and tight spaces, using sensors and smart navigation to move around furniture and other items on the floor.

The Dreame D20 Ultra targets users who want a thinner robot that can reach under lower furniture. It also has vacuum and mop functions and connects to a base station with auto dust collection and water handling, but the design focuses on a slim body to help it get under sofas, beds, and cabinets. The lower price reflects its slightly different feature set compared to the L40 Ultra AE, which leans more toward higher power and heavier duty use. Both models rely on mapping technology to learn the layout of a home so they can clean room by room and follow planned routes instead of random paths.

Both new robots use obstacle detection to spot and move around common items on the floor such as cables, shoes, or small toys. This is meant to reduce the chance of the robot getting stuck or dragging things across the room. The vacuums can be controlled through an app, where users can start or stop cleaning, set schedules, and choose which rooms to clean. Users can also adjust suction power and water levels in the app to fit different floor types, such as tile, wood, or carpets. Map saving lets the robots remember more than one floor plan, so they can be used in multi level homes.

Dreame’s launch of the L40 Ultra AE and D20 Ultra in India adds more choices for people who want automated floor cleaning. The L40 Ultra AE targets users who want stronger suction and more hands off care from the base station, while the D20 Ultra targets users who want a slim profile that fits under more furniture at a lower price. Both models bring hot water mop washing, auto dust collection, and app based control to the Indian market at mid to upper tier prices.
